Takara ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by World Seed, LLC, operates the Takara mobile application and the website at takara.cards, a trading card game collection management tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
Email address via OAuth providers (Apple/Google); display name from the OAuth provider; avatar URL if available; and phone number for OTP authentication.
Collection Data
Cards added to your collection (card identifiers, quantities, conditions) and the custom configurations (binders, notes) you create.
Camera and Card Images
Card images are sent to Google Cloud Vision API for optical character recognition (OCR); they are not permanently stored on our servers.
Device Information
Limited diagnostic data collected when you submit feedback, including device model, OS version, and app version.
Subscription Data
RevenueCat manages subscription status and entitlement information using an anonymous app user identifier. Payment details never reach Takara servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
Data serves account authentication, collection management, card identification, bug diagnosis, and subscription administration. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing and improving the App.
4. Third-Party Services
- Supabase— authentication and data storage;
- Google Cloud Vision API— card-scanning OCR;
- RevenueCat— subscription management;
- Apple/Google— authentication and payments.
5. Data Storage and Security
Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure enclave (iOS Keychain or Android encrypted storage) via expo-secure-store. Collection data uses local SQLite caching with server synchronization. All network communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties and do not share your data for advertising or marketing purposes. Data sharing is limited to the third-party services listed above, only as needed for functionality.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- access your account information;
- export your collection data (Takara Pro);
- delete your account permanently;
- use guest mode;
- withdraw OAuth consent; and
- revoke camera permissions through device settings.
8. Data Retention
Active account data is retained indefinitely. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days. Feedback is retained for a maximum of 12 months.
9. Children's Privacy
Takara is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
10. International Data Transfers
Data may be processed on servers outside your country. You consent to international transfers with appropriate safeguards.
11. Cookies and Tracking (Website Only)
The website uses essential cookies and Google Analytics. The app avoids cookies and web-based tracking.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Material changes trigger user notification. Continued use implies acceptance of revisions.
